From: Jon Bartlett

The dates for this year's festival are 14-16 August 2015. We sure hope to welcome a bunch of Mudcat traditional enthusiasts.

Date: August 14-16
Title: 8th Annual Princeton Traditional Music Festival
Location: Princeton, BC Canada. Princeton is about 300 km (200 miles) E of Vancouver (about a three-hour drive through spectacular landscape).

A free festival, open to all performers of traditional music. Two outdoor, two indoor stages. The festival starts Friday night with a free public dance in the town square. Presentations, workshops, concerts, panels, from 10am to 6 pm Saturday and Sunday. About 125 performers. Glorious countryside (semi-desert, mountains), an ideal vacation spot, too.

We've lost our Open Stage!

A fire burned down the building the day before yesterday, but we're looking for a new venue.

Good luck finding another venue. That's too bad about that fire.

I'm planning on being there for the Saturday.

Oh noooooo, not the ICE CREAM PARLOUR?! There was never a more inspired pairing than a folk open stage in an ice cream store.

Jon, I hope you find another venue. I was toying with the idea of clearing the place out with a few tunes on my uke. Now what will I do?

Please can someone post the times the greyhound bus leaves vancouver and arrives in princeton. i have spent a lot of time on truly horrid sites that make you download nonfunctional apps and just want to know some very basic bus information. friday the 14th. how much, what time. with the world of information at our fingertips, this bit has eluded me.

mobile.greyhound.ca tells me that busses leave Vancouver for Princeton at 12:15 AM, 6:00 AM, and 6:15 AM. Both the early morning busses get in at 11:00 AM, the later one requiring a transfer. Cost is about $35. The Greyhound station at Vancouver is in the same facility as the Amtrak terminal.

It has been hours that we have been stuck. There has beenserious incompetence on that part of greyhound...just recently disoatched new bus despite being totally broken down as we apprlach mountains..kept trying to get driver to wait ten minutes and try again...sheer incompetence.

Well, my sad story is that one or more forest fires have closed the highways at Rock Creek, halfway between me and Princeton. I just cancelled my three nights at the Riverside Motel, if anyone is hankering for rustic cabin accomodations next to the Tulameen swimming hole.

Bob The Postman ......sorry I'm going to miss you at the Festival. That Rock Creek fire sounds pretty horrible, with some people losing their homes, etc.
