just watched first episode of Guitar Star...
the new 'find a star guitarist' competition on Sky..

not as shite as it could have been..

Plenty of acoustic bashers, so should appeal to a few mudcatters,
even if you have to find a local pub with a Sky dish....

I've now watched the first episode twice...😬

Mrs punkfolkrocker decided she'd like to view it before I deleted the recording,
[even though she's sick of my guitar obsession]
and she's now hooked and wants to watch the full series...

First episode is auditions in Cardiff & Dublin..


So.. what is this fad for "Percussive Acoustic" playing,
do they all glue wooden pads on the soundboards,
and how much of this 'acoustic' style is actually dependant on pickups and compressors.....?????
