Subject: BS: Postcards? From: Roger the Skiffler Date: 13 Jul 15 - 04:07 AM I sense from the lack of feedback to my last Postcard from Greece that they have had their day. We will be going again in September (new island) but I won't report back unless people really want to read my ramblings. Please PM if you want me to continue. No response, no postcard. Similarly, the smaller group who have asked to share the photos in the past (even less feedback) please tell me if you still want to see them, otherwise I'll restrict circulation to my family. I don't want to clutter these pages/your in-boxes . RtS |
Subject: RE: BS: Postcards? From: Joe Offer Date: 13 Jul 15 - 04:16 AM I don't have much to say in response, Roger, but I always enjoy reading your "postcards" - especially with the unstable state of things in Greece. I loved Greece, but don't know when I'll be able to go back. -Joe- |
Subject: RE: BS: Postcards? From: GUEST,Bizibod Date: 13 Jul 15 - 06:01 AM Am a late-comer to them , but have always read and enjoyed the content. You have a very descriptive style of writing which paints the picture beautifully, and your wry observations are spot on.Sorry for not commenting sooner, please do continue. |

Subject: RE: BS: Postcards? From: Stilly River Sage Date: 13 Jul 15 - 10:51 AM I enjoy them, but like Joe, don't usually respond. I treat them like you're reporting back, not starting a dialog. |
Subject: RE: BS: Postcards? From: GUEST Date: 13 Jul 15 - 02:41 PM Not spotted them. I've just sent 2x real cardboard postcards from Newton Stewart (Folk Fest) but would never expect acknowledgement or response. One of my recipients might though send Me one when they are somewhere different |

Subject: RE: BS: Postcards? From: Micca Date: 13 Jul 15 - 08:38 PM I, too, wish you to continue, and if you decide to reduce your circulation list to family and friends, please include me, like Joe, I do not often comment , but very much look forward to your "reports" |
Subject: RE: BS: Postcards? From: michaelr Date: 14 Jul 15 - 12:01 AM The Greek islands are my #1 "want to retire there" choice, and your postcards always vividly take me back there. Please continue! |

Subject: RE: BS: Postcards? From: Roger the Skiffler Date: 14 Jul 15 - 05:11 AM Thanks, guys. I hope things aren't too depressing in September (hey, this is Greece we're talking about, singing and dancing will continue despite any crisis!). Watch this space! RtS |
Subject: RE: BS: Postcards? From: Bonzo3legs Date: 14 Jul 15 - 05:37 AM We still receive postcards from my sister during her visits to France , and from friends on their travels. I love receiving postcards, and always find time to write them when on our travels - which unfortunately no longer stretch to South America. |
Subject: RE: BS: Postcards? From: ChanteyLass Date: 14 Jul 15 - 08:23 PM I, for one, want to continue reading your postcards! I will PM you. |
Subject: RE: BS: Postcards? From: ChanteyLass Date: 14 Jul 15 - 08:29 PM Hmm. I tried to PM you, but when I tried to send the message, nothing happened. So I tried several times. You will either get several identical messages from me or none. Let me know either here or in a PM. |
Subject: RE: BS: Postcards? From: Joe Offer Date: 15 Jul 15 - 03:45 AM I think you'd better take a generous supply of Euros with you on this trip, Roger. I'm sure cash will be welcomed. I think I'd like to go back to Lindos on Rhodes. I really liked that entire island, but particularly Lindos. -Joe- |
Subject: RE: BS: Postcards? From: Roger the Skiffler Date: 15 Jul 15 - 04:40 AM No PM CL, strange! Yes, Joe, we have stayed in villages and years where banks ATMs and credit cards were a mystery or a long bus ride away so we are used to making sure we have emergency supplies of cash. Remember the days when restaurant bills were just written on the paper table cloth and VAT was unknown! RtS |
Subject: RE: BS: Postcards? From: GUEST,Billybob Date: 15 Jul 15 - 08:06 AM I too love to read them, no chance of going to Greece at the moment, so your postcards are wonderful, thank you wendy |
