Hey Pete..
Thanks for the info....twas ever thus...
I cut my teeth doing small blemishes at the various locations in Louth, starting over 40 years ago...jeeeez....
Saw some major folks there as well...
Hope the new place is kind and supportive...
Cheers
P

Nothing lasts forever, especially in the folk world!
Good luck at the new venue, Pete, hope to get over there in the not-too-distant future.

After quite a few Years at the "Wheatsheaf Inn", Louth Folk Club is on the move again, this time to the "Brown Cow" at 113 Newmarket, Louth, LN11 9EG

Our next meeting on 28th July at the "Wheatsheaf" is cancelled. We open up at the "Brown Cow" on Tuesday 11th August and every second and fourth Tuesdays thereafter.

I suppose that the vagaries of the licensed trade are an ever-present hazard in the folk world. On the positive side a pub can be responsible for the birth of a Folk Club but the reverse of the coin is that a change of landlord or a change in the focus of a pub can create great problems.

Since Louth Folk Club started over 40 years ago we have had many homes in the town, some of them for more than one period of time! We are hoping that this move will keep us secure for a while. The "Brown Cow" is a great pub with friendly landlord, landlady and staff and the good selection of real ales is always on top form.
