Subject: Lyr Req: Rambling Gambler - Dixon Brothers From: GUEST,Spoutnik Date: 21 Aug 15 - 02:30 PM Hi, I found most of the lyrics for this song but the last verse gives me trouble. Anyone can help? Thanks in advance Rambling Gambler Dixon Brothers I am a rambling gambling man I've been most every place Most of the gamblers of this world I've met them face to face My mother she tried to tell me The fate of a gambling life My son, please quit your gambling way And marry you a loving wife I fell in love with a fair young maid She was all this world to me Until another won her heart She cares no more for me I love this maiden with all my heart She said she loved me too But oh how sad to find alas She proved to be untrue I've rambled around to Frisco town I've been to Tennessee Ten thousand maidens I've met I guess But non of them for me I'm now a wreck upon life's sea Alone I've paid the cost I've gambled in the game of love I played my heart and lost I've gambled round the country side I've gambled down in town I'll guess I'll ramble and gamble on Till the police shoots me down A lost a game ??? next day ????? above But never I did in the game of love |
