The spring run of the two cd-set is out and is just beautiful..at least the music. I still have to adjust some graphics, which did not appear like they were in my mind. There were delays caused by problems with duplicating etc...still do not know the cause..seems to be a bad batch of cd stock...the music sounds great...

Anyway, find me in person and they are $10 US for a copy...I will be asking for coverless cds and sell them for $5. There are 20 songs, all about salmon..many about salmon fishing in the PNW..but some from the point of view of the salmon themselves...

Shipping is extra..$3 US and more to Canada..not sure how much but I will bring a batch to Camp Alexandra in BC in October. Shipping in US gets really way cheaper if you buy 3 cds...which I would sell for $25 US plus shipping for approx $3. Only works in US.

Singers and songwriters are very well known in western US and Canada. Some of your very favorites. If you are from PNW or a salmon-fishing area, you know the significance of salmon..not only as food or economic consideration but as a spiritual and ecological icon. If you are not from PNW you would be edified by learning about this force of nature.

This is a pay as you go operation...would love to sell a batch now to help produce the next Fall Run very soon..

Still might have a couple of slots if you have a song particularly about a salmon (no shoals of salmon rewrites) and absolutely no copyright issues. So it should be trad, your own song or written by a friend who gives permission. I promise not to get rich off this.

Just PM me for more details.

I've heard some of these songs and enjoyed them. I think the rest of you will, too.

Maybe we should have an Advert: prefix

Any chance of giving us an idea who they are, and the titles of the songs?

Or is that too much to ask for in a 'review'?

So asking for the names of songs and singers is rude???

OK...

I don't think the post above was rude at all. The original post is written as if everybody knows who is posting, what this CD is, and who made it. What is this album being referred to and who is it by?!

The original post was written by talented songwriter mg, who is know by many here since she's been posting regularly for some years and her songs have been recorded by well-respected musicians. She's been making copyright-free cds with various themes, and the proceeds usually go to the related causes.

It's useless to nitpick tone and rudeness so I will resist.

Mary, would you please tell us more about this project and what songs and singers are included? I'd appreciate knowing more- it sounds interesting. It's too bad there isn't a better prefix for such welcome announcements. Perhaps "Announcement" would work?

Regards,
Maeve
