Subject: RE: Trying to locate Bronwen Pugh From: BrooklynJay Date: 18 Sep 15 - 08:30 AM Well, Llanfair's first name is Bronwen, but that's not the last name I'm familiar with.... Joe, The post below was extracted from this thread. I feel pretty certain this is the person our Guest is looking for. Jay *************************** Subject: RE: Best Folkies from out of Greater Manchester From: Llanfair - PM Date: 01 Apr 07 - 06:57 PM I'm amazed that no-one's mentioned the MSG, where everyone washed up sooner or later. I remember Tony and Arthur, Rosie Hardman, Marie Little, Mike Harding, the Oldham Tinkers, and Harry Boardman, whose club I went to all the time. Whatever happened to Bryn Pugh? He was a distant cousin, I sang under the name of Bronwen Pugh. |

Subject: RE: Trying to locate Bronwen Pugh From: Jim Carroll Date: 17 Sep 15 - 08:05 PM There was a Bryn Pugh who sang around the clubs in Manchester in the mid-seventies - don't know if he was a relation. He was a member of a singers workshop I was running in Chorlton up to the point I moved to London in 1969. I'n not sure if he was a member of this forum - he posted occasionally - come to think of it, he must have been a member - we exchanged PMs on several occasions. Up to about fife years ago he was working as a solicitor. Good luck Robin Jim Carroll |
