Subject: Roy Harper CLEARED
From: GUEST,Lizzie Cornish
Date: 09 Nov 15 - 12:54 PM

As ANOTHER **innocent** man's life lies in ruins, whilst those who caused this remain anonymous and their lives not changed at all....

Case Closed - Charges Dropped

WHEN is all this SHIT going to stop?

WHEN are these foul Witch Hunts against famous men going to be stopped, forever?

What is going on is beyond belief and it is the police themselves who are causing it, aided and abetted by the CPS and The Misandric Feminists, alongside a now utterly corrupted justice system and a £Compensation System which needs to be closed down immediately to stop these lying gold-diggers from growing rich, whilst the men they hurl abuse are sent to hell, often for the rest of their lives.

And don't even get me STARTED on 'Victim Trawling' NoWin/NoFee lawyers who have stitched our legal system up very nicely in order to make as much money as they can, not giving a hoot about blowing apart the lives of innocent men.

Geez! I am SO angry!!

Everyone out there, help Roy back on his feet again, with gigs, songs, publicity. Whatever you CAN do, please, DO.

DLT remains a broken man, financially, spiritually..appeal coming up soon....

And He Who Must Not Be Mentioned on here, remains in prison, even though the allegations against him are outrageous and his trial was absolutely sinister, in every way....

Stand UP, MEN and shout out loud....

Yes, I looked at it, 'guest'.

Did you not bother to look at the TITLE of that thread, then realize the man has been CLEARED, NOT CHARGED?

Obviously not.......

He's had enough BAD publicity, without a thread stating he's been 'charged' in its title surfacing again.

Now, plese, let the discussion start on the shocking way Roy has been treated, along with so many other innocent men...

WHY would you want to have a title of 'Roy Harper CHARGED' when the man has just been CLEARED?

You need to shout out he's been CLEARED.

Stop being so damned unpleasant....

Geez, I'd forgotten how fucking nasty this place can be........

Lizzie, All you needed to do was ask a moderator to change the thread title. We try to keep down the number of threads so that there is continuity in discussion. I'm sure you were aware of the previous thread, and somebody had posted a message to that thread to say that the charges were dropped. The discussion should have continued in that thread. By rights, your thread should have been deleted. If there is already an active thread on a given subject, secondary threads on the same subject are prohibited.

Hi, Lizzie. It's nice to have you back. I'm glad to hear Roy Harper was cleared, because that means there is less evil in this world than we thought.

he Mudcat is basically a good place you know, except for the passel of rogues referred to as The Usual Suspects. They like to form squads and attack people - it's adolescent behavior, really.

The sad case of Roy Harper reminds me of a Dutch proverb: The tall tree catches the wind.

WHY has this been moved down, when the 'Roy Harper Charged' thread is still in the music section?

What is WRONG with people on Mudcat, not just posters but the mods?

Max, WHY have you let your site be taken over by such people? WHY?

The man has had the final charges against him dropped, faced years of hell, been found innocent of other allegations, yet, Mudcat, a forum for musicians, does NOT want to SUPPORT Roy Harper?

Mudcat, twisted with jealousy and bile and bitterness and resentment towards anyone who's 'made it'.....

What a sad, sad, vitriolic and shameful site this has become and what a shocking and vile reflection it is on the English Folk World.

Of course, had ANYONE else started this thread, it would have been left entirely alone, but as always, The Bloody Bullies reign in here, given free hand to do so by this site's owner and those he has to help him.

Very, very sad and a HUGE betrayal BY musicians of another musician who actually deserves all the support he is so due.

I feel so sad for those on here whose hearts are filled with bitterness and bile.

Could the mods and Max please explain why the earlier thread on Roy has been moved to BS, whilst the old one with the heading 'Roy Harper CHARGED' remains up here, please?

WHY does Mudcat want to spread the lie that he's been charged again, when he hasn't?

I know it's an old thread, but the TITLE either needs to be changed, urgently to 'CLEARED', or the new thread with this title and the information about him, be allowed to remain in the music section, due to Roy Harper BEING a MUSICIAN!

For keriste's sake, Mudcat, are you TRULY this BITTER that you give in to bullies time after time after time?

The man has spent THREE YEARS IN HELL, and you have a thread stating he's been CHARGED, thus misleading people into thinking he has been charged AGAIN?

YEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEESH!

Leeneia, nothing inherently wrong when you say

Hi, Lizzie. It's nice to have you back... ...Mudcat is basically a good place you know, except for the passel of rogues referred to as The Usual Suspects. They like to form squads and attack people - it's adolescent behavior, really.

but I suggest you look at the rant of 10 Nov 15 - 04:19 AM and the subsequent new thread to explain why Lizzie often receives such treatment. I think 'attack' in this context is an incorrect term as when such rants are voiced the replies are, more often than not, a defence or simply trying to put the hyperbole in more reasonable terms. In my opinion that is.

Matt - Not just the cases you mention. I am astounded that some people will happily accept that Savile was everything that has been said about him, without the benefit of a fair trial, yet after such a trial they still believe that Harris is innocent. The circumstances are no different apart from Savile can no longer defend himself. Don't get me wrong, I am not saying that either are innocent or guilty. Simply pointing out the inconsistent approach to historic evidence that lay people have. Which is why it must only be ever handled by the judiciary. Flawed as that may be.

Michael, I think it was simply the fact that the thread has already been created once and while your point about it being valuable is a good one, there is really no need to have 2 threads going on exactly the same subject simply because the opening poster disagrees with the moderators decision to move the first one below the line.

Moderators. As one of the sticking points seems to be that the 'charged' thread is above the line while the 'cleared' one is below may I suggest that, as neither are particularly concerned with music, that they are both placed below the line?

There is a point - clarity of communication.

If you have something to say to a readership who mostly have no prior knowledge of your specialist area of expertise,
then the onus is on you to present your intended ideas, conveying sufficiently required information as effectively and concisely as you are able.

Only a pompous prat would demand that a non expert readership should trawl through arcanely written legal legislation.

As I explained, quite clearly I thought, that if I was to read it it would be beyond my limited legal knowledge I can only assume that you do not have either the legal expertise to understand it yourself or the communications skills to explain it. Pity really as I would like clarification on the issue rather than rumour and hearsay.

well GUEST - thank you for your constructive contribution to our understanding of the complex legalities
which you considered relevant to bring to our attention;
this makes matters much clearer ?????

Do we need to be spoon fed - not really.

Would a well explained brief summary have helped - that would have been positive, and avoided your unnecessary negativity.

I'll tell you what. Musket seems to be a name used a lot around here, yet the man who first called himself Musket reckons he hasn't posted since the summer and that his mates who used it also buggered off before he did.

Perhaps as this thread is about Roy Harper, I am reminded that Musket Of the Ian variety plays a rather good version of Tom Tiddler's Ground.

I'll send on your regards tonight at Tickhill.

Guest - You obviously have me at a disadvantage. You seem to know all about the members on here but we know nothing about you apart from your reluctance to to elucidate on your earlier comments. Which can only lead us to the conclusion that you are talking through your arse. But, in fairness, I have taken your advice and posted the following question to the web site you recommend. "Is the law now that you are guilty unto proven innocent when applied to historic sex abuse cases?" I await the response and will let the forum know the results.
