Was hoping to do some publicity shots outside ( for which the gargoyle would be ideal ) but oh my the weather for fri looks unhelpful - maybe some nice panelled room backdrops instead.
Any catters attending our intimate soirée ?

We love going to Halsway Manor. There is a gargoyle over the front door with a finger in each ear, which seems somehow appropriate for a folk music centre.

The whole place has a lovely atmosphere and great for music. Never felt worried on any of the many occasions I have been there.

But the above stories can be verified by others.

I was there one night when a lady came into the bar to say that she had just seen a woman in medieval dress walk along the landing and through the wall.

The previous week several people in the bar had seen the door to the entrance hall open and close and after several seconds the door into the library did the same.

Nobody seems to have felt any malevolence.

This Thursday 19th nov, Commonground 4 piece folk group will play an informal concert in the bar from 8.00pm. We do material from shanty chorus through to Cirque de Soliel, American rags to English trad. Nice room, very comfy sofas and good beer.
