Trolls are more likely to run away, or hide as GUEST. I was thinking perhaps we had/could invent a word for the misanthropes of this world who enjoy trying to wind up people. They are characterised by attacking the person not the issue, along with other traits. And seemingly carrying that over to other threads. Paranoicista kinda peeps.

But having said all that, I usually use the word Troll. It has no effect on the guilty, they see it as a badge of office.

No names, no pack drill, as they say.

Did I understand, Mr Hilo, correctly?

What's the word for a poster who opens a thread calling for suggestions of nasty names to call other forum members because (he claims) they are argumentative and nasty to other forum members?
Lots's spring to mind, but 'not the brightest fairy-light on the Christmas tree' is a front-runner!
No names - no pack drill.
Seasons greetings all
