I have a number of folk LPs from the 1960's & 1970's and it is kind of my pet peeve that a lot of obscure records did not have the release date on the LP itself or on the record jacket. I have done research by looking on Google but usually can only find mention of the album but hard to find information of release dates. Sometimes names of the singers are mentioned too. (but not LP release date)
I will list some of the records that I am looking for release dates and I am just approximating that it is from the 1960's or 1970's.

Here ya go on the Anita Carter disc. I note that it has "Love's Ring of Fire." This is the first recording of the song that later became a huge Johnny Cash hit. It a more ethereal interpretation than the Cash, and one I like better in some respects.

BTW, if you google some combination of artist, album title, label and album #, you can often (sometimes?) find the info. Good luck.

Regarding The All Night Singers:

They were based out of Mahnattan. That album was released in 1964 on Reprise Reprise RS-6117 (source).

The album appeared in the May 5th, 1964 edition of "Billboard. Here is a picture of the cover: Front. The back might have some information about the band, though you probably won't be able to read it: Back

The songs are as follows: A1 Prettiest Train; A2 My Love And I; A3 Walk In The Sun; A4 Abilene; A5 Don't Think Twice, It's Alright; A6 Chickens Are A-Crowin'; B1 Worried Man; B2 Darlin'; B3 Remember The Alamo; B4 Billy Won't Play The Banjo Anymore; B5 Things Will Be Comin' My Way; B6 San Francisco Bay Blues (source)

There's also an article about them in the Lebanon Daily News from 1964, but you need a membership, and those cost money. I think the article was also available on Ancestry.com (which also costs money).

That was the only album they released, but they did release some religious tracks as backing vocalists with Wally Fowler. They released 5 45's with him: "Down In the Valley of Prayer*" [Decca - 9-29466], "In the Middle of the Night*" [Decca ‎– 9-29659], "You Can't Run Away from God" [Decca - 9-29964], "The Fourth 'R' (Religion)" [Decca - 9-30033], and "The Air, The Sunshine, The Rain" [Decca - 9-30226]. (*Recorded as "The All-Nite Singers," rather than "All-Night")

Regarding the individual members of the band:

Mary Jean Hammons passed away on February 17th, 2015 at age 81. She was born on April 1st, 1933, in Athens, Georgia. In the early '50s, she and her sister Margaret Lindsay and niece, Betty Taylor, were featured on Birmingham and Decatur TV shows, occasionally joined by her brother, Thomas Lee Hammons. After moving to New York in 1957 and having a fairly successful career in book design, art direction, and photography, she moved to acting and singing, and started a private school for actors and singers, training several starts on "All my Children" and others who went on to Broadway and other movies. She reportedly made recordings with Columbia and Cameo-Parkway, in addition to her recording with Reprise, but I could not find evidence of the former two. (source)

Mary Koth (now Mary Koth Lutton) is the only remaining member of the group. She joined The All Night Singers in the early '60s, and says they toured in East Coast Pubs. She then began teaching music, and in a career that spanned 40 years, taught vocal music in public schools, retiring in 2000. In 2005 she met Patrick Karwan, who helped her fulfill her dream of making a solo album, and released "That Was Then, This Is Now" in 2006 [Oasis Productions Limited / OasisCD]. In 2007, she released "Green Mountain Dreamin'," followed by her 2009 release, "To Vermont With Love," then Soundscapes of the Jersey Pineland, and a couple of others. (source)

Rusty Evans has a bit more online about him. Born as Marcus Uzilevsky in Brooklyn in 1937, he moved to Greenwich Village just before the "folk explosion" began there, having had an interest in folk music throughout high school, though never learning guitar until after graduating. Learning various songs from pickers in the Washington Square Park from 1957 to 1967, he took on the name Rusty Evans because "I wanted to have a country singer image." In 1957, he released a rockabilly single called "When I'm Along With You" [Brunswick 45-102959], and in 1958 he released "Uh Huh Uh Huh Uh Huh (Hush Little Baby)" [Brunswick 45-105710]. In 1960, he released "The Night I Crashed Your Party" [Hip H 261], and in 1962 he released "Jack Hammer" [Ribbon 45-6909], that same year joining a folk group called "The Hitchikers." He also became steadily more involved in folk and country circles starting that year, releasing "Showdown! Ballads of the Gunslingers" [Mount Vernon Music MVS 129] in 1962, "Songs of Our Land [Mount Vernon MVS 111] and "That's How Far" [IPG Records IPG 1010] in 1963, and "Let-'Er-Roll! Ballads Of The Railroads" [Mount Vernon Music MVS 142] in 1964, the same year he joined The All Night Singers. Around 1964 (between 1963 and 1967) he released some country songs with several other singers on "In The Summer Of His Years" [Vernon Records V 523]. He discovered the psychedelic scene during a 1965 trip to Los Angeles, and recorded "1983" [Musicor MU-1148] with the Musicor label, though he released it as "Ry Cooper." The same year "1983" was released (1966, confusingly enough), he joined the New Christy Minstrels after a 3-year stint with The All Night Singers, and in 1967 he moved to California and began producing for rock groups, including "It's A Beautiful Day." Starting in 1966 he and David Broomberg and Mark Barkan began recording music as "The Deep," releasing their first album (Psychedelic Moods [Cameo Parkway SP-7051] that same year. In 1969, Evans began recording under the name "Marcus," and released the psychedelic-folk LP album under the same name [Kinetic Z 30297]. He then almost disappeared from the public eye for almost a decade to return in 1979 to his folk roots with the a series of releases of Folkways records, kicked off with "Life's Railway to Heaven" [Folkways FW32440 / FTS 32440], followed up shortly later in with "A Pilgrim Son--Marcus," [Folkway Records FTS 3244] a collection of religious songs. In 1988, his "Folk Symphony For Sara" was played by the Arlington Symphony Orchestra. In 1997, he adopted another name and began releasing ambient sound records, releasing "Slice of Light" [OSI Music OSI-0701], and then "Gypsy Dreams" [OSI Music *number unknown*]. In 2000, Evans (slash Marcus/Uzca/The Deep) went full-circle and joined his son Danny's rockabilly group Ring Of Fire, and released "Rusty Evans and Ring of Fire" [OSI Music *number unknown* ] in 2000, followed by "I'm Comin' Home" [OSI Music *number unknown*] in 2002. They then released "Burning Man" [Blue Skunk Music *number unknown*] in 2005, and "A Tribute to Johnny Cash" in 2006. Certainly a well-rounded musician, he also had a fairly successful career in painting. He passed away in 2015. (source 1, source 2)

From a read of the album liner notes, the album was released likely in late 1967 or early 1968. That's a guess on my part.

I think it is important information to include on any album released (be it on the record itself or somewhere on the liner notes of record jacket) but obviously a lot of record companies in those days or even self-produced did not feel it was important enough to mention.

Info on that page shows that "We Need More Love (To Love Each Other)" was copyrighted by Kathryn Keenen on 30 Oct 67. Note spelling and title. So I suspect the release date was very late 1967 or early 1968.

In 1976, we released our own eponymous Album - The Beggarmen - on our own label, Currach Records (out of existence in 19780.

THE BEGGARMEN: Tom O'Carroll from Dublin, 5-string banjo, guitar, mandolin, whistle and vocals. Seamus Kennedy - Belfast - guitar, mandolin and vocals.

Most often eponymous albums are referred to by djs or reviewers as 'self-titled, albums' which they are not. They do not title themselves...except maybe in a zen sort of way. Some person gives the album its name. There, that's my pedantry for today.

Typo Error:

"The Iguana Coffeehouse" was run out of the basement of Luther Place Memorial Church of 1226 Vermont Avenue, NW Washington DC 20005. I assume that's the right thing (given the "considerable" frequency of the name "Iguana Coffeehouse" and they're both in Washington DC). It started as an interfaith mission to reach the "unchurched." Here is their page. Most of the website is fairly useless, but it lists the following artists in association with the record: Steve Geyer, The Immaculate Contraption, Mike Harris, Jerry Diggin, Acquiesce, Geff & Thei, and Kay Carpentre. Also, the catalog number is Unicorn Records UN 12179. It looks like it has some more info on the back of the sleeve--could the date be on there?

This page [https://247actionauction.com/iteminfo.php?cat=CO&subcat=V3&id=20768&display=all] says it's from 1970. It has a version released on "Dancing Doll Records" Catalogue V-3053. It was also put out by Rodney Peppenhorst Productions catalogue USR 3053 [http://www.45worlds.com/vinyl/album/usr3053], however, the back picture from an eBay page shows "Copyright 1971" right under song B1 "Daddy Was A Railroad Man."
