bookmarks needed

I'm in my middle 70's and not much of a web surfer, but, over time and with much effort, I developed a modest list of bookmarks dealing with lyrics for folk .. Irish .. French .. cowboy .. songs, etc.

Now my computer has eaten them all .. the only name I can remember is this one, "Mudcat".

So I turn for help to this amazing list. Can you supply me with some of your favorite bookmarks and spare me the trouble of floundering around in cyberspace for a second time?

Dear Edmund,

Look up at the top of this page where it says 'Links'. Click there and you can choose pages of links added by other Mudcatters -- by category.

For lyrics and links concerning traditional Irish music, Click here.

I've always found this comprehensive page of links from The Fox Valley Folklore Society to be very useful. I do see that it has not been updated since April, but I'd think that most of the links still work.

If you're interested in MIDI files, I've found the MIDI Explorer (a MIDI seearch engine) to be very helpful. If I'm looking for a cowboy song, I enter a specific song title, then when I start looking at the pages that have that song, there are usually many more that I like.
