Re the Byrdland he played at CfB he said he acquired it because he'd seen a picture of Chuck Berry playing one on an album cover (or maybe a publicity photo) but he couldn't find one with P-90's like Berry's and had to settle for one with humbuckers.

Probably the same Byrdland he played at George Harrison's Concert for Bangladesh in 1971.

Since posting the enquiry I have been told that the guitar Eric Clapton played in "HHR&R" was a 1957 Byrdland. The company later made a cheaper version, the ES-350 T. I would be happy to own either.

Clapton is always known these days as a Fender man but, back in the '60s, in the days of John Mayall and Cream, he played Gibsons almost exclusively.

What was the blonde thin line F hole Gibson guitar Eric Clapton played "Wee Wee Hours in "Hail, Hail Rock'n'Roll"? I've been told it was an L-5 CES, then a G350, then a .... it just goes on and on.
