Subject: Lyr Req: Bill Johnson - Puckett & McMichen
From: GUEST,Martin

Hi

I can't puzzle out the last sentences of each verse of Bill Johnson from Riley Puckett and Clayton McMichen! Can someone help me? Many thanks in advance!

My name it is Bill Johnson, i'm known for miles around
My name it is Bill Johnson, i'm the bully of the town
I rambled this wide world over, and I cannot settle down
(If you don't leave a fight, you have to call me a knight), i'm gonna take it in the town

My name it is Bill Johnson, i'm known for miles around
My name it is Bill Johnson, i'm the bully of the town
I rambled this wide world over, and I sure can't settle down
??                                    , t'il the police shoot me down

My name it is Bill Johnson, i'm known for miles around
My name it is Bill Johnson, i'm the bully of the town
I rambled this wide world over, and I sure can't settle down
Every night, well I'll have a fight, i'm the bully of the town

Sounds like "Have my fight on a Saturday night"

Also 'you have to call me a knight)' sound like you have to call me tonight.

In the first parenthesis, it's "If you don't even fight, just follow me tonight

#'s rendering of the second blank is correct.
