Don't shop there. Owned by Bain Capital, which has run it into the ground.

Neither do I, Mark - it's long drive from the UK - but they're still bastards!

Is the UK version called Guitar Guitar the logo is very similar?

Protected workers rights are one good reason for the UK to stay in the EU.
The system is not perfect or watertight as i found to my cost but its better than the free for all that would ensue.
The tip of the iceberg is the Junior doctors contracts dispute

No idea Triplane, I don't buy from Guitar Guitar. We have very good independent (family-owned) music businesses in Doncaster, Nottingham and Leicester which are all reasonably handy for me.

One more reason to dislike the place. They were my last place to go looking for a needed large thumb pick. When I tried to pay cash, they demanded a name, phone number and email. I refused. "But I have to put something in the machine to finish the sale!" cried the clerk. With ghosts of old snarks in my head, just to get the darn thing "Amanda B. Recondwith" for a name, the directory assistance number for phone, and noneofyerbiz@no.com for email. I was pissed, and swore to never go back. Since then we've acquired a good independent music store, and the Sam Ash chain store has been good to the music community. So, an easy oath to keep.

This sort of corporate behavior is something we well may have to tolerate more and more as we give up rights for employment, ease, and comfort, just as we've lost so much of our privacy for ease of connectivity.

Doubt very much that Guitar Guitar has any connection to the Guitar Centre, but that's just an opinion.
