I met, at the funeral of a friend, the much missed Charlie O'Neill, long ago of Saor Éire, a son of the Wolfe Tones band, who is continuing the family tradition with a new band called Catalpa after the boat that rescued the exiled Fenians. They've just produced their first album, also called Catalpa.
The instrumentation is really fabulous: subtle, complex and melodic. I'm not sure where the album is to be had, but if you can lay hands on it, do.
