There are several videos on You Yube of Travis and Trevor. They played so well together so if you enjoyed Patty on the Turnpike take a look.
Henry King's Reel and Pretty Little Girl with the Red Dress On are a couple of favourites.

I'm sorry to hear of this man's passing. That was a beautiful duet on Paddy on the Turnpike.

Ray, that is indeed a good quality video of the brothers. Do you know when the Tiki Parlour DVD will be available and hopefully viewable on all regions UK in particular?

Many thanks for that link, BanjoRay. Wonderful music indeed. I'd never heard of him, but I'm sure he'll be a sad loss, particularly to his brother.

Trevor and Travis Stuart were identical twins, which really shows in the way they played together. In this country we rarely see the fiddle and banjo played together as beautifully as they did it. They seemed to be able to read each other's minds.
Here's a lovely example: Patty On The Turnpike

He will be much missed. Facebook has had many reminiscences and photos as the old time community rally round the family.

For those of you like me that don't use Facebook.
I have just received the sad news of the death from a massive heart attack at the age of 47 of Trevor Stuart of North Carolina. Trevor played mandolin, guitar and banjo but is mostly well known for his excellent fiddle playing. He appeared in the UK a number of times with his twin brother Travis an equally talented musician. I count myself fortunate in first getting to know Trevor and Travis about nineteen years ago when I was visiting Fiddler Red Wilson at his home in the Ledger Community in Mitchell County. Trevor and Travis always gave excellent performances carrying on the traditional music of their region and Trevor will be greatly missed by their many friends on both sides of the Atlantic.

Another who has left us much too early.

Hootenanny
