Hi all,

Newcastle, NSW in Oz has said farewell to Peter Adams, a brilliant piano player whose playing was a joy to watch. I saw him perform at our local Folk Club a couple of times in aroud the 1980's, when he accompanied Chris Duncan who is a brilliant Scottish music fiddle player. The duo of Peter and Chris was amazing.

Hunter Valley Scots Club made this announcement last week, March 4 at 10:50pm ·

It is with incredible sadness and loss that we inform our community of music and dance friends that our dear and long time friend, dancer, musician, and Vice President, Peter Adams, has lost his fight with an inoperable brain tumor this morning. For those that knew him and were also his friends, he will leave a gaping big hole in all of our lives. His passion and vision for Scottish culture has enriched, and will continue to enrich, the Newcastle Scottish community. He will be missed terribly.

Farewell Peter and Slàinte mhath!

Although I have not seen Peter play piano for about 30 years, I have often fondly remembered his stand-out performances.

Peter sounds like another of those people I would have liked to have met. I have added his name to the "In Memoriam" thread. My condolences to all those who know and love him.
