Just received, and enjoying, Rick Fielding's Dreamer CD. Would highly recommend this CD. This has set me to thinking about what other Mudcat CD's or tapes are out there? I have a collection of Art Thieme , Cooper Nelson, but maybe there are others I should have.

Tell me about your Cd or Tape, and how I may buy them?

Please understand thay I have a limited budget, so I may not be able buy them all, but maybe over time I would be able to pick up few.

Hi Lloyd,

Mine album "Farewell, a Collection of Celtic Waltzes and Slow Airs" is also available though my website here and through Folk Legacy Records.

You can see what it is about by checking this thread called Celtic Waltzes..
Check out the guest book to see other peoples comments, and also the comments page to read a newspaper article about the ablum and Rick Fielding's comment about the album. You can also hear some sound clips from the album.... If you should get one from Folk Legacy, make sure to mention the Mudcat.

I have four recordings; Lights along the shore, Seagulls & Summerpeople, on Folk Legacy. I also have one called Beginners Luck on Outer Green records, and another one which I narrated my book titled Stories Told in the kitchen, on North Country audio. The first two are available from Folk Legacy, the other two from me.

are all on Folk-Legacy. Available through the Mudcat Shop.

Judy Cook's "If You Sing Songs" (CD) is also available from Folk-Legacy. You might want to get one of our hard-copy catalogs, or visit our web site at FOLK-LEGACY.

Unlisted is Ballads Thrice Twisted, which should be shipped to me next week, thirteen old ballads collected in New England by H.H. Flanders, plus 4 others. I'll list them on the homepage when the CDs arrive, if I can figure out how. John just recently adjusted something in the the computer to eliminate Broken Pipe messages so I can now read Mudcat.

Susan, if you read this, where do you live in Vermont?

I'm pretty sure that Max has some copies left of my Folk Legacy LP---(vinyl--33 & 1/3 rpm) ON THE WILDERNESS ROAD. Sandy has both of the LPs I did for him at Folk Legacy on CASSETTE ONLY.

The 2 LPs I did for Kicking Mule are now owned by Fantasy Records and are unavailable (out of print) until I die and then they get to play their grief card when demand goes up for a week or two. (That's called the Jim Croce sydrome.)

My ON THE RIVER cassette is available from me if it's not too snowy out and I can get to the post office.

My LIVE AT WINFIELD, KANSAS cassette is out of print now.

It is my attention to refresh this thread for a few days so I don't miss anyone, please bear with me. I then will start purchasing CD's or tapes. If the list is manageable, as this one is, I hope to purchase one of each. It may take a few months. I look forward to having a library of Mudcat talent.

Since he posts so rarely, I forgot that Dave Para is also a member of our Mudcat family. Dave and his wife, Cathy Barton, have shared their music with us on a couple of CDs, namely Twas on a Night Like This, A Christmas Legacy, CD-114 (with Sandy and Caroline Paton, Ed Trickett, Skip Gorman, Dave and Rob Paton, and a short reading by Gordon Bok) and For All the Good People, CD-121 (also participating: Sandy and Caroline Paton, Ed Trickett, and Harry Tuft). They also recorded a lovely LP and cassette for Folk-Legacy: On a Day Like Today, C-107, and they have recently released a new CD, Crazy Quilt, CD-5131. All of these are available from FOLK-LEGACY (click here). (Did I get that one right, Joe?) Remember to mention the Mudcat if you order direct from the F-L web site, so the 'Cat can get its percentage. Otherwise, look for 'em at the Mudcat Shop.

I have a banjo CD "5 Strings Attached With No Backing" with Chris Coole - mostly clawhammer (some old time finger picking) banjo with guitar accompaniment -tunes and songs both traditional and original. Kathy has 3 CD's for young children -"Tickles and Tunes", "More Tickles and Tunes", and "Say Hello To The Morning" with complete word/action liner notes enclosed. On Merriweather Records.
