Folk singer, Anne Hills will be performing at a house concert in Claremont, California on the evening of April 23, 2016.
Just wanted to ask if anyone will be attending and coming from the Inland Empire/Riverside, CA area? I don't have a way to get there and was hoping someone reading this will be going to see Anne Hills at the house concert?

Hi Joe:

I have seen Anne in concert a few times over the years and she is truly a wonderful performer. Also saw her once when she was performing with Priscilla Herdman & Cindy Mangsen as a trio.
I believe that was in Pasadena, CA many years ago.
If I see her, I will tell her there is a fan in Northern, CA who would like to see her too! :-)
I'm hoping I can find a ride to the house concert though in Claremont, California.

Anne has been my favorite professional singer since Chicago days well over thirty years ago. Fortunately she gets to our Michigan area with some regularity. I don't think you'll hear better harmonizing in the world than Anne, Cindy and Priscilla.

To frogprince. Yes, I agree 100% about the harmonizing of Anne, Cindy and Priscilla. So beautiful!!

I just hope someone sees this post that might be going to the house concert to see Anne Hills on April 23rd in Claremont, California. I don't have transportation and there are no buses to get me there (to the area where the house concert is located) It's about maybe 25 or 30 miles one way and definitely could not afford a taxi.
The buses from my area to start with is very bad service on Saturdays anyway and it would involve maybe 5 buses and a 30 minute walk on top of that. Buses would not be an option so I am hoping someone will see this that will be going to see Anne that I could ride with.

Lin- Have you perhaps contacted the hosts to request they mention your interest to others who have reserved a seat?

Yes, I have contacted the hosts and they normally don't ask where people are coming from when they make reservations but said they will try to find out if anyone attending might be from my area. I am some distance from the house concert and most of the people seem to be from the area around Claremont or the opposite direction from where I am.

I sure hope you get there, Lin! Anne was here in Indiana last year around this time (in Rushville), and she was fabulous!! The concert was hosted at a small church, and I had the privilege to meet her and talk about several subjects. She is a wonderful person, too!

Hi Tony:

Still haven't heard back from anyone yet. One time when I was visiting Maryland back in the mid-90's, I saw her at a church venue in Silver Spring, MD. Great concert and she is always so personable to talk to. Just a very nice person.
I also saw her years ago here in California about 3 different times.

Oh, I am hoping someone will see this request of mine who is going to the concert in Claremont, Calif. and will be able to give me a ride there and back. I haven't heard back from the hosts of the house concert yet so now it is only 2 days away.
