Subject: Lyr Req: Little Brown House on the Hill From: GUEST,Shauneen Date: 25 Apr 16 - 01:53 PM Hi all I just discovered this site yesterday while I was searching for song lyrics that my grandmother used to sing to us when I was a child. I was so happy to find some long-forgotten words to her favourite songs and I was hoping someone would be able to help me out with another one that I haven't been able to track down.. The lyrics that I can remember go like this (not much to go on I know): ________________________ Verse: I remember the little brown house on the hill Where I spent all my days long ago And the musical sound of the murmuring brook That beside that brown house used to flow Chorus: It was shabby and old and in wintertimes cold _________________________ I would be over the moon if anyone could help me source the rest of the lyrics for this lovely song Thank you :) |

Subject: RE: Lyr Req: Little Brown House on the Hill From: cnd Date: 26 Apr 16 - 10:05 PM Sorry, I can't find much that seems to match. Read the following poems to see if they ring any bells. Book 1 Book 2 I can also find references to 2 songs copyrighted in 1914 and 1920 as follows: 1914: Heichhold ( F. F. ) Little brown house on the hill. 11677 (LOC number, maybe?) 1920: Huntington (E. S. S.) Little brown house on the hill. 12940. But I can't find these two songs. Sorry |
