For fans of those well known folk/acoustic (and not-so-acoustic!) performers Crosby, Stills, Nash and Young, I have been an on-off follower of their music for years and in 2014 was delighted to pick up a copy of their box-set "CSNY 1974" live compilation (only 40 years on) and to find that disc 4 included a little live performance video from that tour (4 songs from a US concert, 4 from Wembley stadium on their only UK performance on the tour). I had heard rumours that the whole show was filmed and occasionally available on youtube in between being taken down again, and/or via tape traders. Today in a local record store and came across this (grey/bootleg?) release of the whole show (3 hours, including a few Joni Mitchell walk-ons): http://www.amazon.com/Wembley-Stadium-Crosby-Stills-Young/dp/B007YAMPWU, took it home and played it, and was pleasantly surprised by the quality of the video (not bad for 1974) and audio (pretty good actually). The quality of the performances is a bit variable but generally very watchable and memorable as a souvenir of an era! If anyone is considering purchasing it and is put off by a few negative comments in circulation, I can only say I enjoyed it very much and it is great to get in amongst the performances via the film crew (I was there but lost in the crowd and anyway memories are pretty hazy by now...). Really this post is just to say that I was not previously aware this release was available for legitimate(?) purchase and it is definitely one I will revisit more than once.

Thanks, Tony. I'll look out for it (Amazon now saying it is Out of Stock ...) I was amused by one reviewer on Amazon, who said he was "literally blown away" while watching it. I hope he made it back home.

I found this clip from the show ("Change Partners" featuring a few nice acoustic guitars and harmonies) here, which gives a taste of the picture and sound quality: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xsZ2xkGFh3w. Obviously not a high-definition experience, but quite watchable especially since it is the only record of the event (other than the 4 tracks on the official release). Not sure where you can get the Echoes release that I bought although the same show appears to be circulating via other sources as well e.g. http://www.stellarproducts.info/product_p/875.htm (I cannot vouch for the quality of that product though).

Of course the real gem for me would be the Joni Mitchell set "Filmed but not released and in limited circulation.", see more info here: http://www.ukrockfestivals.com/wembley-74-recording.html. I remember the sound of her voice and one dulcimer filling the stadium, it was magic! (Presumably that was on "All I Want", memory is a bit hazy now).
