Folk In The Chapel,
The Westgate Chapel, 92a High Street, Lewes, East Sussex BN7 1XH
Sunday 27th March at 2,30
Concert will include:-

THE FULL SHANTY

Click here to see a photo of them.

The Full Shanty sing sea songs and sea shanties in four-part harmony for the entertainment and amusement of land-lubbers and sea-dogs alike.
Performance credits include Electric Theatre (Guildford), Hawth (Crawley), Harlequin (Redhill), Underground Theatre (Eastbourne), Broadstairs Folk Week, Dartmouth Music Festival. The Full Shanty have entertained at boat clubs, folk clubs, posh dinners (why, you may ask?), churches, cheap dives and weddings.
The repertoire is mainly sea shanties, sung with gusto and melodious harmony (the two are not mutually exclusive). The shanties are introduced with just enough information about their origin to interest but not bore, and they're interspersed with songs of the sea and working life, some hauntingly beautiful.
