Subject: 'Winter's Own' by Findask From: Mbo Date: 08 Dec 99 - 12:23 PM I just heard a beautiful song called "Winter's Own" by Findask. Does anyone have the lyrics. It's funny, but I also like "Our Time Will Arise," which I was informed by a fellow 'Catter that it was Findask, and here I am looking for more of their music. I really have to find one of their albums. Their music really speaks to me! --Mbo |

Subject: Lyr Add: WINTER'S OWN (Findask) From: stewRat Date: 10 Dec 99 - 12:42 AM WINTER'S OWN Lyrics copyright by Bill Lindsay Sung by Bill Lindsay and Stuart Campbell (Findask) Winter cracks The crunching underfoot Freezes every root The swirling cold Stiff and silent Shaking every branch Beauty. Fearsome and fatal Chilling waves Are breathing with a thirst Insatiate wanderlust A whistling wind Always searching Crossing on the wilderness Beauty. Fearsome and fatal Standing below now Mercy all gone now Cold and alone now All winters own Standing below now Mercy all gone now Cold and alone now All winters own Biting back A seething blazing sleet A piercing smoking heat A bitter raw Cutting shivers Deep into the bone Beauty fearsome and fatal Flaming angry heavens Kiss the frost Another climber lost Beneath the snow Fingers feeling Finely for the ground Beauty Fearsome and fatal Standing below now Mercy all gone now Cold and alone now All winters own Rays of sun Will creep beneath your coat To ridicule and gloat The stiffened skin Naked Fragile Licking every inch Beauty Fearsome and fatal Standing below now Mercy all gone now Cold and alone now All winters own Standing below now Mercy all gone now Cold and alone now All winters own From 'Waiting for a miracle" TP 026 '1987' Temple Records Shillinghill Temple by Gorebridge Midlothian Scotland Don’t know where you are but the US distributor was:- Flying Fish Records 1304 West Shubert Chicago Ill 60614 Other earlier LP's "near enough...far enough" 1983 "Between the white lines" 1984 Don’t know if they have done anything more recently? I left Scotland in 1989 for Australia so have not heard Findask or of them since then. stewRat
