I don't know how many of you may have come across this documentary about Doc Watson and his family - made in 1976 for BBC TV - but I happened across it this morning. It's absolutely fascinating and well worth a look. Presented by Bert Lloyd, who spent three days with Doc.

Hi,

Thanks for sharing- hadn't seen that. I met Doc in 1992 when he was almost 70. I learned a few songs from Doc, but more than that we got to be friends and he and Richard (his grandson) used to send us Christmas cards. I wish I wasn't so busy and had spent more time with him.
