In this video beginning at 7m50s, Paddy Godden (aged 92) sings a couple of lines from a song he heard his mother sing c.1900

It must've been one of Paddy's favourite tunes to have stuck in his mind all those years, and he used it in a tune now known as Paddy Godden's Lancers.

Does anyone recognise the song Paddy's mother was singing?
