James Delarre and Saul Rose combine thrilling fiddle performances with some of the finest melodeon playing. Inspired by more than fifteen years of appearing on the folk music scene, this new duo harnesses all the subtleties of traditional music while producing an exciting and energetic display of musicianship. As firm friends the joy with which this pair experience music together is hypnotic, captivating and addictive.

James Delarre:- has been playing the violin from a young impressionable age, being mostly self taught he is the product of a musical family. He has from his late teens been working as a professional musician, notably with Jim Moray and Mawkin (a band formed with his brother).

Saul Rose:- is one of the best Melodeon players in the country. He's best known for his work with the Kings of Calicutt and Waterson Carthy, has been a professional folk musician on and off since his late teens. A player involved with traditional music via a morris dancing past; from playing music for dancing and the dancing itself, and has been doing so for pretty much all of his life. He has been playing melodeon since he was 10.

Ajay Srivastav is a singer/songwriter and guitarist who performs a mix of Blues and Indian folk dubbed 'Karmic Blues'. His soul searching lyrics are inspired by Vedic philosophy and mix the personal with the spiritual. He is joined by Vinod Kerai on tabla.

Rob Johnston is a unique guitarist who blends his brilliant technique with different playing styles and influences. He is part of an evolving tradition of acoustic guitar playing drawing on a classical background as well as world and folk roots. His material has a folk/roots base but is very eclectic, with the odd looping technology thrown in!

Saw Saul & James at Matthews Yard in Croydon on 9 November 2013 from one of the most uncomfortable seats anyware. They were excellent.

Time marches on - Here's a reminder of this upcoming gig. Two very fine musicians indeed. Saw Saul with Faustus the other night, he's really one of the best melodeon players there is. :)
