After a long shift from Derby to Edinburgh on Network Rail's Track Recording Unit, I decided to get out of the city for the evening and caught the bus to Portobello for a meal in the Espy, right on the sea front, and a pint at the Dalraida, further along the prom.

I was delighted to find
a young couple playing fiddle and harp , recorded them on my I-phone and uploaded my 1st ever videos to YouTube!!

I see the fiddler fairly often - don't know his name though. The tunes are all familiar but I can't put names to them either.

I like the second video better - I've not heard the first two reels before. The last one I do know, but again no name.

I better find that fiddler fairly soon.

According to the Dalriada's site the Thursday session is lead by Mike Kearny if any catter knows him it might be a starting point.

Each day is different. The time sapper82 was there, it's usually Jed and Jo Milroy, but they must have been away with the fiddle/harp duo deputizing.

There are usually many more players there.

Looks very civilised. I may try to get along myself midweek...

I try to avoid Sundays and busy times....even although I like Jed and his music..... It tends to be very noisy and bustly with "families" and casual drinkers and you can't really enjoy the experience.
There are also the "belt it out" types who seem to be attracted although, I'll admit, there are usually a few good musicians and singers too.

Sianne Moody and Andrew Gibb are the players I have contacted Siannie to ask about the tunes.
