The UK Border Agency operates the same way. People who make stupid and bigoted decisions are never identified and held responsible:

"a UK High Commission spokesperson merely said that the mission does not comment on individual cases"

Whoever did this is behaving like an anonymous troll only they're getting paid to be an ignorant bozo by public money.

By any standard this is one of the greatest musicians of our time that they're shut out. It would only have taken seconds for anyone to find out who he is.

Appalling decision. But examples of this kind of control and arbitrary censoring are everywhere, even on this esteemed forum. Any decision that silences people is appalling. Thank you bringing this up, an issue of great concern !

"stupid" .. "bigoted" ... "arbitrary" .. "ignorant bozo" - er, do you happen know the people concerned or are you just rubbishing them because you don't agree with their decision?

However it is curious, to say the least, that a visa should be refused when one has apparently been granted on previous occasions. And while a policy of not commenting on individual cases may have its merits, it should not be allowed to affect the transparency of the decision making process (the law must be seen to be done and all that).

Can't see any sense in this decision, perhaps it's because he is a musician he's considered dangerous.
