A fiddler this evening played an old-time tune called "The Patter Roll". It seems to be unknown to Google or the ABC tunefinders. I know what the title means, and it makes sense that there might be a tune called that, but then I draw a blank. Anyone?

I'm thinking this is the song known more commonly (and more controversially) as "Run, Nigger, Run." Am I right?

That is indeed an alternative Joe
