Subject: Tech: Musical Traditions Records into C.21 From: GUEST,Rod Stradling Date: 21 Sep 16 - 09:52 AM In April 2015 I decided that I would put the entire MT Records output onto the Net as complete downloads - all the tracks and the booklet. Now the entire catalogue up to the end of 2014 is available as downloads. The 2015 releases will be available in January 2017. Having done that, an associated problem needed to be addressed - making them available to those who only use Smartphones to interact with the world. The new slimmed-down 'mobile-friendly' Records website is now finished, and connected to the magazine and the MT Records website Home Page. It's 'responsive', and should display properly on all smaller screen sizes. You can find it at: www.mtrecords.co.uk/mobile/ You'll be able to buy all our normal CDs with booklets there, divided into the usual categories, see their tracklists, and access the Samplers page, but with few of the other extras. |

The blue clicky will help: http://www.mtrecords.co.uk/mobile/ and here is your home page: http://www.mtrecords.co.uk (I haven't looked at your site for years, since all the audio used RealPlayer format which I can't access on anything - I'm pleased to see you've finally recognized mp3, at least for the new stuff). |
Subject: RE: Tech: Musical Traditions Records into C.21 From: DaveRo Date: 21 Sep 16 - 01:12 PM The mobile site works nicely on my phone. I particularly like how simple the sampler page is - plays straight in the browser. I suggest you include 'MT Records' in the <TITLE> tag of the mobile site so it appears in the browser history. Can iPhones handle the downloaded zips? Just wondered - I don't have one. |
Subject: RE: Tech: Musical Traditions Records into C.21 From: cnd Date: 21 Sep 16 - 08:16 PM I have to say that I find the lack of changing URL on the web version slightly annoying; how can you share a specific page with a friend without having to give lengthy instructions on how to get there? Also, the red-asterisk-hover function doesn't work Otherwise, it's a good site |
