Subject: Know-Nothing campaign songs From: Jack Campin Date: 12 Oct 16 - 10:46 AM Given their contemporary relevance, I got curious about what campaign songs might have been made for the Know-Nothings. Seems there were a few: His Grandfather's Hat (from an LP "Sing Along With Millard Fillmore") 54 pages of them, in fact: Fillmore & Donelson Songs for the Campaign (1856) Teacher's pack ($2) on these songs: https://www.teacherspayteachers.com/Product/The-Know-Nothing-Party-A-Document-Based-Study-of-Campaign-Songs-in-1856-242138 Oddly, the Library of Congress page on campaign songs leaves them out. |
