It's always good to be in a collection of tenor guitar players which includes Al Capone.

Al Capone's prison band

I wonder what the penalty was for playing a bum note...

Isn't a bum note what you get if you sit on the keyboard?

Was it Capone who wrote 'I'm in the Jail House now'.

He would have played violin too but the damn Tommy gun took up too much room in the case.

Any recordings in existence?

Here is Idi Amin playing accordion. Quite catchy.

There are a couple of Russian recordings of the Sticheras of Ivan The Terrible. I haven't managed to listen to them so I don't know if he was any good as as a singer-songwriter.

And from Al Capone's time...

Mussolini as a violinist

Tenor guitar?
So that's what he claimed was in his violin case. ;-)

I thought his instrument of choice was "the Chicago piano".
