I went to this last night. Best seats in the house too - front row centre!
What a great night.
Our culture is safe and strong.

Unbelievable night. Great performances and turnout from all Dick's friends. Certainly a night to remember.
Last night the Festival Theatre was Utopia for folkies.

Sorry to have missed it: we had planned a special band practice weeks before it was ever announced, and I didn't like to renege on the tutor: turns out she would have liked to have gone too! Communication!
Lots of glowing reports on Facebook, especially re Karine Polwart's singing of Leonard Cohen's "Anthem".
Any chance it was recorded? DVD for those of us who couldn't go? (With sales going to Dick's fund.)

There were no cameras filming but that doesn't mean that there isn't an audio recording!

Shame there were no cameras.
A gig like that is historic.

Seating capacity of the Edinburgh Festival Theatre is (according to Wikipedia!) 1915, so "over 1000" would not be full house but a good turnout. I believe, from other Facebook posts seen that DG was there himself.

The upper balcony - the gods - was not open. Dick was in the audience and there are pics on FB of him at the soundcheck and backstage after the gig.

Straight answer is, I don't know, although I live in Edinburgh. Best person to ask would be John Barrow, his agent, but even then, Dick is entitled to disclose as much or as little as he feels like.
