No I don't think that the Mudcat Nally is the right one judging from the interests shown in some of the Mudcat Mally's postings. I have asked Les from Hull to help sort this problem out.

Well, there was a Mudcat member whose member name was Mally, and his history shows lots of postings about Hull, singarounds.

His last member posting was two years ago.

No not Dave Mallinson . But I never heard him called by any name other than Mally. I shall set out to find out what his "proper" name was as soon as I can, though I may be away some time.

Cheers for that. The other Mally sold me a melodeon once and I bought lots of harmonicas from the Cleckheaton shop. When I tried to find out via google I was amazed to find out just how many Mallys there are!

Oh, no1 what a shame. Mally was a nice bloke who I remember well from my days in Beverley. Steve, I can't imagine that this Mally is who you are thinking of - I don't think that he ever touched an accordian or any squeezebox.

Are you referring to Dave Mallinson, Geoff?

Last night I was told that Mally has died. Mally sang in the Minerva, Hull and in other Hull singarounds for the last ten years or so. You may remember that he was very fond of singing Wendy Arrowsmith's Whitby Lifeboat song. Does anyone know when and where his funeral will be?

For Mally
