I usually scan the internet with guitar in lap plucking away until it comes time to move the mouse which means I'm developing a repertoire of songs that last an average of 30 seconds or so. Is anyone aware of the existence of a foot controlled device or anything else that would allow me to surf hands-free. Thanks

There are some voice-controlled programs out there, Frankie, but then you'd still have to quit singing or sing your commands.*bg*

Thanks, Kat. I'll look into it, although I'm looking for something low-tech (and hence low budget). Got anything that rhymes with scroll down?

Scroll down, stroll down, old brown etc - but if it's a close rhyme the machine would probably take it as a command, and obey the rhyming word as well.

Well, Frankie, just a quick check on Lycos came up with two products, and I didn't even go to the next page of listings! Sorry, they are not free, but less than I thought they might be.

This one will get you going for $99.00. While Foot Mouse at SafeComputing offers what looks to be a pretty extensive system for $199.00.

Could bring a whole new meaning to the term "playing footsie".*BG*

I have a photo here of my husband doing exactly the same thing. I thought it was because he was computer phobic and used his guitar as a security blanket. I didn't know there were others with the same habits.

Thanks so much Kat. I ordered up the $99 Step on It unit and I'll let you know how it works out. Metoschin, I hadn't thought about it, but yes I guess I use my little Martin as a kind of a no man's land between me and the digital world. And Margo, I have put a mouse on the floor, much to the consternation of my dear Judy, and attempted to surf with my toes. I've had to swear to wear a clean sock when attempting this in the future and it's tough enough barefoot. All the Best, Frankie
