Tune Req: Waltz Clog

This may be a long shot...

I'm looking for an abc or midi file, or sheet music for the tune 'Waltz Clog' as recorded on the recent Waterson:Carthy record 'Broken Ground'

The sleeve notes don't give much of a clue, only that the tune is Quebecois.

I've tried searching with JC's ABC Tune Finder, The Web-wide ABC Index and Search for a MIDI file all to no avail.

More general searches suggest that the 'Waltz Clog' is a type of dance rather than a specific tune.

Any help gratefully received.

Flowers and Frolics used to play a tune called Valse Clogue which I believe is French Canadian. I have not managed to find it but if you think it is the same tune, I can probably knock up a midi if you have no joy searching for it.

Thanks for the offer, if it's not too much hassle I'd be pleased to hear a midi of 'Valse Clogue'

A bit more research confirms that there are lots of 'waltz clog' tunes. For example, The Great Canadian Tunebook has Guilmetre's Waltz Clog and Lacroix's Waltz Clog

As far as the dance is concerned I found that: [our dances]incorporate the waltz clog steps that are now part of the vernacular of traditional American tap. The Waltz Clog was originally done in clog shoes, long before taps were put on shoes.

If anyone has any info on the tunes and / or dances, I'd be interested

Here 'tis, but first the Sherborne Waltz which goes well with it... last time I tried to post a tune with greater-than and less-than symbols to produce dotted notes, they didn't appear - were interpreted as incomplete HTML tags - so if this doesn't work (there are a couple in the second tune)I'll do it again tomorrow. Do you still want a midi? I've made a (rather basic) one, let me know!
