Been away from Mudcat for awhile. Just discovered Wilson Jacobs who sings Newfie songs and a particularly poignant song called the "Fisherman's Lament" (not the one associated with the Oyster Boys). Apart from some online liner notes from the online label that sells his works, not much more info is available. Guess he is a part time composer but has opened a new appreciation of Newfoundland and Labrador ... Check it out.
