What an odd idea
Surely charities have always produced goods to raise funds for their various causes?
Trump and Brexit are about enriching the already super-rich and promoting racism.
Looks as worthy a cause as any other to support to me - maybe I misunderstand the point - it is first thing in the morning!!

It's not so much a charity, Jim, as a 'collective' to help ensure that Folk traditions are not hijacked by certain parties that tried to just that some time ago. I think the resurgence this time is to promote diversity rather than national exclusivity and show support to those disenfranchised by recent events. Hope it doesn't spark another round of right wing attacks on this and other folk related sites :-(

crowd funding is the new way to reach peeps, plus different peeps, and there is a mechanism built-in to the process. Makes it easier for busy musos. It is a communication medium, like Mudcat is.
My point was - now you know. smiley face, smiley face, confused visage

Same people, new campaign. Nothing odd about that.
