I found this wonderful recording the other day, sung by the popular German tenor Rudolf Schock and I was wondering if anybody had any information on the lyrics and so on:

I can't seem to find any trace of the sheet music, either.

It's a musical setting of poem by Hans Eschelbach: (click).

It will take me a while to transcribe it because I'm not so hot on Fraktur type, and I have to go to choir practice.

First line: heissa das Frühlingsfest feiern wir frei

In the sung version, the chorus is switched around a little bit, but you should be able to figure it out.

Thanks, Joe! I would transcribe it myself but that text isn't available on Google books for my region.
