Subject: Lyr Req: My Brain - Mose Allison From: PHJim Date: 18 Dec 16 - 10:52 AM Mose created his version of the old blues tune "My Babe". The last line is not clear. Could someone help me out? My brain is always workin', my brain. My brain is always workin', my brain. My brain is always workin', Long as you keep that coffee perkin' My brain, Cool little _____?, My brain. My brain is always tickin', my brain. Long as I'm alive and kickin'. My brain is losin' power, my brain. Several hundred neurons every hour. My brain is gettin' pounded, my brain. Purty soon I'll be dumbfounded. Each verse ends with "My brain, cool little _______?, My brain." Cool little what? |

Subject: RE: Lyr Req: My Brain - Mose Allison From: Jim Dixon Date: 18 Dec 16 - 02:42 PM "Cool little cluster." I just listened to this song on Spotify, from his album, "The Way of the World, and I have a few other corrections: First 2 verses are in reverse order from the way you gave them. "Tickin'" comes before "workin'." In verse 2, the first 2 lines say "steady workin'" while the third line has "always workin'." Cool song. Thanks for bringing it to my attention. |

Subject: RE: Lyr Req: My Brain - Mose Allison From: PHJim Date: 19 Dec 16 - 01:12 AM Thanks Jim. I'll accept all of your corrections. We lost so many wonderful musicians this year that I realized that although I'm a huge fan, I had no Mose songs in my repertoire. |
