Yes, there are a lot of D7's klinging in this charming little song.

Wonderful! Pretty much what I had figured, even with the A7 but got confused when all the websites threw in other chords or chords in seemingly wrong places. Thanks so much for the clarification. I even thought a D7 would not sound wrong in most places.

Well, heck. My machine claims the scanner disconnected. I'll just have to do it the old-fashioned way, right here. I am typing them in columns in hopes that they won't scoot around when posted.

I am used to singing with with a repeat at the front. First time ends high, second time ends low.

G- Kling, Glöck-
D- chen,
G- kling e ling e ling!
D- Kling, Glöckchen,
G- kling!
G- Kling, Glöck-
D- chen,
G- kling-e-ling-e-ling!
D- Kling, Glöckchen,
G- kling!
D-Laßt mich
G-ein, ihr Kin-
D-der! Ist so kalt der Win-
G- ter!
D-Öffnet
G-mir
A-die
D-Türen!
G-Laßt
C-mich
G-nicht
A-erfrier-
D- en!
G- Kling, Glöckchen, kling-e-ling-e-ling!
D- Kling, Glöckchen,
G- kling!

There are a lot of 7th chords in this song. If you play the chords I have noted while singing the seventh note, you will get a delicate dissonance suitable for a children's song. The A7 chords in the middle add interest while not actually going into the minor.

Wow! Great! I can sing in nearly any key but the general public would probably appreciate a key they might also be able to sing in. If it is any easier on you, my yahoo account is "across the blue ridge" (all one word and without the quotation marks. Danka

Hello, Allan. Froehliche Weihnachten!

Since we are both members, I can print a copy of this with the chords on and then PM a JPG of it to you. To print it, treat it like a photograph.

I can send a lower key good for singing by the general public or a high key which is better for flutes and recorders. Which would you like?

I've had no success at all finding accurate chords for this German children's Christmas song. Those I've found on the various online resources seem inaccurate or else completely wrong because they have been discerned by some computer program that can't tell the difference between a major chord and its relative minor! So, my question is if there is anyone out there who would kindly post the chords they, themselves, use - rather than something inaccurate, copied and pasted from a website. Thanks in advance!
