Don Messer was a very influential and popular Canadian fiddler. This doc gives a sense of what he and his show were all about. You may find it dull in parts, but there are lots of good bits in it, including the only film footage I've ever seen of the Cape Breton fiddler/composer Elmer Briand.

Here it is.

(I'm among those who have some reservations about Messer - but we're in a distinct minority!)
