I sang it again just last week, in a slightly revised version, as we had a dear American friend over here. She and her husband were fairly recent acquaintances when 8 years ago, I quietly asked them if they would mind if I sang a song about their President. “So long as it’s nothing complimentary “ was the reply! They both loved it. I the meantime, the husband has sadly left this world, and we were having a wee session in remembrance of him, hence singing the song again.
