ladies over 60 who can sing - those that admit to the age range that is. Aimed at locals & not gender specific but.....

They want 400 extras, but the female singers may be more visible on-screen.

Sounds Like Fun, but you should be aware that this is an Agency and they will charge you a " registration fee" of up to £60.00 plus V.A.T, and will take commission of a further 15% plus vat, on any fees you earn.
I may be an old Cynic ! but I fear this could be little more than a T.V Add or similar !!   I cant help thinking that if someone was contemplating filming a Musical production with a cast of 400 extras and several "well known Film Stars" within the next few weeks we would already have heard something about it via the local press.
'Course I could be wrong .........!!

It's not 60, it's "ladies over 65 who can sing" they want. I fit that category and live in Devon, but the registration process looks a bit daunting, and it appears you have to pay an annual fee to be on the agency's lists. As I have no aspirations to a film career, I don't think I'll bother.

On MoneySavingExpert there are several pages of tips on signing up as an extra.
Gist seems to be
travelling expenses can outweigh income so do it for the fun or experience, not for the money
and
legit agencies will take your yearly fee from the first pay packet, not in advance.
