Hah! As luck would have it, ironies of ironies, Weebly is temporarily not displaying some of its sites! It's logged as a fault.

It's never happened before - Lord knows why it's doing it know. Sod's Law, I suppose. I'll try it again in the morning...

Will - on my machine, using either of two browsers, your page appears totally blank. All I get to see is your favicon in the tab header. (Looking at the source, all I see is CSS and Javascript whose purpose I don't understand - nothing content-specific except for the description lines in the header).

Wix has the same problem; sites hosted on it are unviewable unless I use a machine which is much less convenient to get to (these sites sometimes work on my phone, but if you expect anyone to use a guitar tutorial site on a phone you have to be kidding - I'm not even going to try with yours).

One thing I forgot to mention: I use Harmony Assistant to write and create music, chords and tablature files, which get uploaded to my website.

Tunesmith, you're talking my language. I've been doing this for several years - welcome to the club!

Let's start with a website. I used to create my own pages using CSS sheets, HTML, etc., but now I use an online program called "Weebly", which allows you to create and build pages. Basic packages come free. Check it out. I use it for several sites, including my own: http://www.willflyguitar.com/. (This is actually a higher grade package which allows me to add video and audio files).

So, investigate and play. I've loaded dozens of PDF files into my "Tablatures" pages - all downloadable, but I don't charge for anything available from my site. What I do have is a PayPal "Donation" button on my home page, where people who've found the site useful can give what they want towards the site upkeep. People have been generous. But it's also possible to have password-protected pages accessible to whoever you want - perhaps on a paying basis. But - remember - there's so much good, free stuff out there on YouTube and elsewhere, that you'll have to be very good to sell much. Just saying.

I use a Canon EOS 70D in Automatic mode to shoot video these days, and capture the sound simultaneously on a Zoom H2. I load audio and video into my Mac using a USB cable. There's a proprietary Canon app. called "EOS Utility" that uploads the .MOV files and a simple drag-and-drop transfer process for the Zoom's .WAV files. I check the .WAV file for EQ and top and tail it with Audacity. For double or more tracking I load multiple checked .WAV files into Garageband on my Mac and save the edited output as .mv4a files.

I put .MOV files and either the .WAV or the .mv4a files into iMovie and synch them. I then extract the camera audio, leaving just the edited Zoom audio files. I can add dissolves, titles, etc., in iMovie. The completed video is exported to my "Movies" folder and then either uploaded to YouTube or just to my website.

Those are the bare bones of it all. Questions welcomed. Check out my stuff on YouTube and on my website to see the end results.

Previously, on this forum, I've "dipped my toes in the water" with this project.
But now it is time for action!

The plan is to create a Youtube video on teaching a particular guitar technique - related to folk/celtic, bluegrass, old timey - and have a link to a website where interested parties can purchase a pdf file with related guitar tab/exercises/advice/other resources etc.

Now, I would love input on every stage of this project.

For example, recommendations for the creation and launching of a website.

Also, I know I can create a paypal link but, ideally, I would like the pdf files to be sent automatically. ( i.e. I would rather not have to send - hopefully - dozens and dozens of files individually.)
Is that possible? if so, how do I go about it.

And, I bet there are lots of other things I haven't considered.

Just had a thougjht! What's the advice for creating the video. It would be just me and a guitar but I would like it to look and sound good.

Any, help/advice would be much appreciated.
