After Glen Campbell had a massive hit with "Gentle On My Mind," RCA released Gentle On My Mind and Other Originals on LP. It was a compilation of songs from Hartford's first four albums and both sides of a non-LP 45. The individual songs are available on various CD's but the collection has not yet seen digital release.

I really like Me Oh My, How the Time Does Fly -- A John Hartford Anthology. It was issued in 1981, and John died in 2001 - but the anthology has a very good selection of his recordings.
I haven't found a better John Hartford collection.

If you cut and paste the thread title into your ebay search bar you should get about 160 hits. Most of them good.

discogs doesn't search as well but everything is there too in smaller quantities.

He was a great old time fiddler as well as a banjo player, and made a beautiful LP (now CD) of fiddle tunes from the great Ed Haley of West Virginia, called Speed Of The Old Long Bow. He also made another Old Time fiddle CD called Wild Hog In The Red Brush, both still available I believe.

Plus, it looks like they've bundled Steam Powered Aereo Plain and Morning Bugle Aereo-Plain/Morning Bugle

I've been an admirer of this laid back and engaging performer for many years, but never got hold of any of his LPs - have looked online for CDs but can't find any. I sent for one which included him- but one track only!
Mind you 'Farther Along' is an excellent double CD & I'm glad I got it, but does anyone know if JH (RIP) is on CD anywhere- there are a few oblique references on other Mudcat threads...but a few years back
