Today, the imbeciles at facebook put silly coloured balls in the space where you make a post. I never asked for this and I don't want it. How can I remove it???

It doesn't seem to be responding at all. I bring it up, and the page just sits there, and I finally get a "Page Unresponsive" message. This has been going on since yesterday afternoon.

Maybe it was just Chrome. I was able to get in with Explorer.

Bonzo, click on the tiny little font icon at the bottom of the comment box and the little colored balls will go away.

Look for the Chrome (and other browsers) extension called Facebook Purity and install it. Just don't discuss it by name on facebook or they'll block any posts that mention it. The "code name" for it in the facebook world is "Fluff Busting Purity." There are a couple of knockoff malware extensions present in the Google play store because Google kicked out the real one, so don't download from there.

I use this to block facebook ads, to remove game nonsense, to make a lot of settings I want in place stay put, not keep changing because facebook wants a different default. And it keeps track if your friends list changes, so you can see if someone has dropped off of your list (or unfriended you - it doesn't say how, it just says who).
