I'm not sure whether I see that news as disappointing or just a sensible way to wind down a very public life.

In any case, I have many fond memories and recordings to last the rest of MY life of Eric and his gifts of music. He said 'what needed to be said' in so many ways.

I combined you with your answer, Rap. Then I wrote a long explanation with links and bells and whistles, and my message disappeared.

Anyhow, I'm thinking Eric was wise to shut down his Website instead of leaving it to get old and moldy. I come across so many performer Websites that haven't been maintained for years. Eric's was well-maintained to the end, and that takes a lot of work and/or money.

But fear not. You can access Eric's Website through the Wayback Machine, www.archive.org (click). Eric's Website has lots and lots of lyrics.
