I've seen pictures of Jerry Walters of the Gateway Singers with three different banjos. One was a factory Pete Seeger Vega long neck, one was a Vega that looked like the neck was altered or possibly a custom one from the Vega factory with just two extra frets rather than the standard three. One banjo looked like a Bacon or a Paramount with a custom altered neck. Possibly a former standard neck five string banjo. Is there anyone on the Mudcat net who knows the history of these banjos? I would appreciate any information. Thanks.
